Synthetic rope is light, easy to wrap, and since it does not stretch, it will deflate in place without flying like a whip if it breaks. So you can retie the rope and use it temporarily. (It is much lighter than a steel rope. Steel rope should be used with a blanket as it shoots like a whip once it breaks. It is difficult to wrap. It may shed fibers. It must be used with gloves. If it breaks, it cannot be used again.)
You may double the pulling capacity of the winch, by using a single pulley system in difficult spots. Pulley systems help protecting your winch and vehicle. (A pulley system can be single, double or triple.)
